Steering with an aVLSI motion detection chip


We demonstrate the capabilies of a 1D motion detection chip in steering a car in a simulated racing game. The chip implemented in a 1.5 mum CMOS VLSI process, is comprised of 24 motion pixels that extracts optical flow in parallel.
