Two natural macromolecules, chitosan and ovalbumin, were used to produce nanogels by a new, green, and convenient method. Chitosan and ovalbumin solutions were mixed; the pH of the resulting solution was adjusted; and the solution was successively stirred and heated. After that, ovalbumin gelled forming nanospheres. The chitosan chains are supposed to be partly trapped in the nanogel core upon heating because of the electrostatic attractions between chitosan and ovalbumin, while the rest of the…

Nanoparticles prepared by self-assembly of Chitosan and poly-γ-glutamic acid
The present paper describes the preparation and characterization of novel biodegradable nanoparticles based on self-assembly of poly-gamma-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) and chitosan (CH). The nanosystems
Nanoparticles based on β‐conglycinin and chitosan: Self‐assembly, characterization, and drug delivery
The purpose of this study was to fabricate and evaluate nanoparticles based on β-conglycinin (7S) and chitosan (CS) to deliver 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). The nanoparticles were prepared with a
Physicochemical and antibacterial properties of fabricated ovalbumin-carvacrol gel nanoparticles.
TLDR
It is suggested that pH affects gel microstructure and thus the encapsulation efficiency and bacteriostatic properties of the prepared nanoparticles, suggesting the design and fabrication of polymeric nanoparticle delivery systems for bioactive compounds with beneficial properties are improved.
Design and processing of nanogels as delivery systems for peptides and proteins.
TLDR
Novel nanogel systems are discussed with respect to their type of cross-linkage and their suitability as therapeutic delivery systems, as well as their ability to stabilize the protein/peptide drug.
Nanogels fabricated by lysozyme and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose for 5-fluorouracil controlled release.
Controlled protein adsorption and delivery of thermosensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) nanogels.
TLDR
The controlled protein adsorption and delivery of thermosensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) nanogels were investigated under different temperatures, pH values and ionic strengths by using bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a model protein, instructive to design the controllable adsorbent and delivery by using PNIPAM-based hydrogels as carriers.
Stable nanoparticles prepared by heating electrostatic complexes of whey protein isolate-dextran conjugate and chondroitin sulfate.
TLDR
The results suggested that the stable nanoparticles from proteins and strong polyelectrolyte polysaccharides would be used as a promising target delivery system for hydrophobic nutrients and drugs at physiological pH and salt conditions.
