This paper reviews some of the available literature on a comparatively new and rapidly developing method for the study of man's stability of stance, "stabilometry", and some aspects of its application. The principle of this method consists in translating the mechanical oscillations of man's physiological gravicentre into electrical signals, their amplification, recording, and analysis.
