Stabilizing controllers from non-coprime factorization for single-input single-output plants

This paper proposes a new method to obtain stabilizing controllers from stabilizable plants that do not admit coprime factorizations as well as stabilizable plants that admit them. We consider single-input single-output plants in this paper. The method is similar with a coprime factorization of plant. Even so we use a Bézout identify which may be different from coprime factorization. Some examples are also presented for stabilizable plants which do not admit coprime factorizations.
