Stability results for fractional differential equations with applications to control processing

title={Stability results for fractional differential equations with applications to control processing},
  author={Denis Matignon},
In this paper, stability results of main concern for control theory are given for finite-dimensional linear fractional differential systems. For fractional differential systems in state-space form, both internal and external stabilities are investigated. For fractional differential systems in polynomial representation, external stability is thoroughly examined. Our main qualitative result is that stabilities are guaranteed iff the roots of some polynomial lie outside the closed angular sector…

Stability results for the linear degenerate fractional differential system

In this paper, stability results for the linear degenerate fractional differential system with constant coefficients are presented. First of all, the explicit representation of solution of the system

Stability Analysis of a Class of Nonlinear Fractional-Order Systems

According to this theorem, the linear state feedback controller is introduced for stabilizing a class of nonlinear fractional-order systems, and a new criterion is derived for designing the controller gains for stabilization, in which control parameters can be selected via the pole placement technique of the linear fractiona-order control theory.

Stability analysis for nonlinear fractional-order systems based on comparison principle

This work constructs a theoretical framework for the stability analysis of nonlinear fractional-order systems. A new definition, the generalized Caputo fractional derivative, is proposed for the

Stability and stabilization for a class of fractional-order linear time-delay systems

Using the fractional Razumikhin theorem, this paper investigates the stability and the stabilization of fractional-order linear time-delay systems, and presents a number of new results. First, a

Stabilization Conditions for a Class of Fractional-Order Nonlinear Systems

The stabilization problem of fractional-order nonlinear systems for 0<α<1 is studied in this paper. Based on Mittag-Leffler function and the Lyapunov stability theorem, two practical stability

Stability and Stabilization of Fractional Order Time Delay Systems

In this paper, some basic results of the stability criteria of fractional order system with time delay as well as free delay are presented. Also, we obtained and presented sufficient conditions for

Some Results on Controllability and Observability of Finite-dimensional Fractional Differential Systems

In this paper, some structural results of main concern for control theory are given for nite-dimensional linear fractional diierential systems. The controllability and observability properties of

Mathematical Control Theory: Deterministic Finite Dimensional Systems

This book covers what constitutes the common core of control theory and is unique in its emphasis on foundational aspects, covering a wide range of topics written in a standard theorem/proof style and develops the necessary techniques from scratch.

The Laplace Transform Method for Linear Differential Equations of the Fractional Order

The Laplace transform method for solving of a wide class of initial value problems for fractional differential equations is introduced. The method is based on the Laplace transform of the
