Abstract A high performance liquid chromatographic method which has been applied for the determination of a 4‐methoxy‐2‐[3‐[4‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)‐1‐piperazinyl)]‐propyl]‐6‐methyl‐1H‐pyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyridine‐1,3(2H)‐dione (IV) (a new derivative of 3,4‐pyridinedicarboximide with an analgesic activity), with 4‐hydroxybenzoic acid ethyl ester as an internal standard (i.s.), is described.
