This work describes the stabilisation of silver and copper nanoparticles in chemically modified chitosan colloidal solution. Chitosan-N-2-methylidene-hydroxy-pyridine-6-methylidene hydroxy thiocarbohydrazide (CSPTH) was used as a stabilising and reducing agent for silver and copper nanoparticles.
