Cell volume recovery in response to swelling requires reorganization of the cytoskeleton and fluid efflux. We have previously shown that electrolyte and fluid efflux via K+ and Cl- channels is controlled by swelling-induced activation of phospholipase Cgamma (PLCgamma).
