The sporicidal activity of hospital disinfectants was tested using two methods of test and two species of spores. Alcoholic hypochlorite and glutaraldehyde (Cidex) showed some sporicidal activity; the first was the more effective. Iodophors, formalin, and phenolics were less effective, in descending order.
