Inter-site interactions play a crucial role in polar gases in optical lattices even in the absence of hopping. We show that due to these long-range interactions a destabilized stack of quasi-one dimensional Bose-Einstein condensates develops a correlated modulational instability in the non-overlapping sites. Interestingly, this density pattern may evolve spontaneously into soliton filaments or a crystal of solitons that can be so created for the first time in ultra-cold gases. These self…

Topological Wigner crystal of half-solitons in a spinor Bose-Einstein condensate.

It is shown that the dynamics of the system in the gaseous phase is marginally stable and spontaneously evolves toward a Wigner crystal.

Bright solitons in Bose–Einstein condensates with field-induced dipole moments

We introduce an effectively one-dimensional model of a bosonic gas of particles carrying collinear dipole moments which are induced by an external polarizing field with the strength periodically

Equilibrium and scattering properties of a nonlocal three-soliton molecule in Bose–Einstein condensates with competing nonlinearities

We carry out numerical and variational investigation of equilibrium and scattering properties of a bright three-soliton molecule in Bose–Einstein condensates with competing local and nonlocal

Symmetry breaking in dipolar matter-wave solitons in dual-core couplers

We study effects of the spontaneous symmetry-breaking (SSB) in solitons built of the dipolar Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC), trapped in a dual-core system with the dipole-dipole interactions (DDIs)

Quantum phases of dipolar bosons in bilayer geometry

We investigate the quantum phases of hard-core dipolar bosons confined to a square lattice in a bilayer geometry. Using exact theoretical techniques, we discuss the many-body effects resulting from

Antidark solitons and soliton molecules in a (3 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equation

We investigate a (3 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equation which is a higher-dimensional generalization of the Korteweg–de Vries equation. On the basis of the decomposition approach, the

Soliton molecules and some novel hybrid solutions for (3+1)-dimensional B-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation

In recent years, soliton molecules have received reinvigorating scientific interests in physics and other fields. Soliton molecules have been successfully found in optical experiments. In this paper,

Novel soliton molecules and breather-positon on zero background for the complex modified KdV equation

Based on Darboux transformation, we generate breather solutions sitting on zero background via module resonance for complex modified KdV equation. Then, some novel soliton molecules, breather

Soliton Molecules, Rational Positon Solution and Rogue Waves for the Extended Complex Modified KdV Equation

We consider the integrable extended complex modified Korteweg–de Vries equation, which is generalized modified KdV equation. The first part of the article considers the construction of solutions
