Electric and thermoelectric properties of silicene nanoribbons doped with Al and P impurity atoms are investigated theoretically for both antiparallel and parallel orientations of the edge magnetic moments. In the former case, appropriately arranged impurities can lead to a net magnetic moment, and thus also to spin dependent transport and spin thermoelectric phenomena. In the latter case, in turn, spin thermoelectric effects also occur in the absence of impurities. To calculate spin density…

Thermoelectric properties of zigzag silicene nanoribbons doped with Co impurity atoms
Abstract Thermoelectric properties of silicene nanoribbons doped with Co adatoms located in the edge positions are investigated theoretically by ab initio numerical methods based on the density
Spin effects in thermoelectric phenomena in SiC nanoribbons.
TLDR
To find the thermoelectric efficiency, the total heat conductance has been calculated, i.e. the electronic and phonon contributions.
Enhancement of thermospin effect in ZGNRs via p-n co-doping on edge
Electronic and thermoelectric properties are studied for ferromagnetic zigzag graphene nanoribbons (ZGNRs) co-doped by a pair of boron and nitrogen atoms on one edge. In case of the 1st nearest
Thermoelectric properties of graphene-like nanoribbon studied from the perspective of symmetry
TLDR
This work has studied the charge and spin thermopower systematically in a ferromagnetic junction of graphene-like zigzag nanoribbon modified by two on-site disorders in the tight-binding model, and the results may have great application value in designing thermoelectric devices.
Hydrogenations and electric field induced magnetic behaviors in armchair silicene nanoribbons
Using the first-principles calculations, we investigate the geometric, electronic and magnetic properties of armchair silicene nanoribbons with different edge hydrogenations. Our results show that
Zigzag nanoribbons of two-dimensional silicene-like crystals: magnetic, topological and thermoelectric properties.
TLDR
It is shown that the interplay of both interactions also has a significant impact on the transport and thermoelectric characteristics of the nanoribbons.
Large spin Seebeck effects in zigzag-edge silicene nanoribbons
Using the first-principles methods, we investigate the thermospin properties of a two-probe model based on zigzag-edge silicene nanoribbons (ZSiNRs). Compared with the odd-width ZSiNRs, the spin
Temperature-controlled giant thermal magnetoresistance behaviors in doped zigzag-edged silicene nanoribbons
Based on the nonequilibrium Green's function (NEGF) method combined with density functional theory (DFT), we investigate the spin-dependent thermoelectric transport properties of zigzag-edged
Valley and spin thermoelectric transport in ferromagnetic silicene junctions
We have investigated the valley and spin resolved thermoelectric transport in a normal/ferromagnetic/normal silicene junction. Due to the coupling between the valley and spin degrees of freedom,
