We study the magnetization plateau state of the three-leg spin-1/2 tube in the strong rung coupling region, where S_3-symmetry breakings and low-energy chirality degree of freedom play crucial roles. On the basis of the effective chirality model and density matrix renormalization group, we clarify that, as the leg coupling increases, the chirality liquid with gapless non-magnetic excitations, the spin imbalance phase and the vector-spin-chirality ordered phase emerge without closing the plateau… Expand

Quantum phase transitions in 1/3 plateau of the quantum spin tube
We study quantum phase transitions in the 1/3 plateau state of the three-leg spin-1/2 tube, where the low-energy effective chirality degree of freedom plays an essential role. Using the densityExpand

Spin Chirality of Cu3 and V3 Nanomagnets. 1. Rotation Behavior of Vector Chirality, Scalar Chirality, and Magnetization in the Rotating Magnetic Field, Magnetochiral Correlations.
The magnetochiral effect of the joint rotation behavior and simultaneous frustrations of the spin chiralities and magnetization in the rotating field, which are governed by the correlation between the chirality and magnetizations, are demonstrated. Expand
Heavy-Fermion Valence-Bond Liquids in Ultracold Atoms: Cooperation of the Kondo Effect and Geometric Frustration.
A geometrically frustrated periodic Anderson model is considered and how orbital fluctuations lead to a Kondo-screened phase in the limit of extreme strong frustration when only local singlet states participate in the low-energy physics is demonstrated. Expand
