We report spin-to-charge and charge-to-spin conversion at room temperature in heterostructure devices that interface an archetypal Dirac semimetal, Cd3As2, with a metallic ferromagnet, Ni0.80Fe0.20 (permalloy). The spin-charge interconversion is detected by both spin torque ferromagnetic resonance and ferromagnetic resonance driven spin pumping. Analysis of the symmetric and anti-symmetric components of the mixing voltage in spin torque ferromagnetic resonance and the frequency and power… Expand

Spin-to-Charge Conversion in Magnetic Weyl Semimetals.
This work investigates theoretically the spin-to-charge conversion in a bilayer consisting of a magnetic WSM and a normal metal (NM), where a charge current can be induced in the WSM by a spin current injection at the interface. Expand
Highly efficient and tunable spin-to-charge conversion through Rashba coupling at oxide interfaces.
This work makes use of an interface-driven spin-orbit coupling mechanism-the Rashba effect-in the oxide two-dimensional electron system (2DES) LaAlO3/SrTiO3 to achieve spin-to-charge conversion with unprecedented efficiency. Expand
Clear variation of spin splitting by changing electron distribution at non-magnetic metal/Bi2O3 interfaces
Strong non-magnetic (NM) material dependence of spin splitting at NM/Bi2O3 interfaces is reported and control of interfacial electron distribution by tuning the difference in work function across the interface may be an effective way to tune the magnitude and sign of spin-to-charge conversion and Rashba parameter at interface. All-electric magnetization switching and Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction in WTe2/ferromagnet heterostructures
The capability of WTe2 to efficiently manipulate magnetization is demonstrated and light is shed on the role of the interface in Weyl semimetal/magnet heterostructures. Expand
Electric Control of Fermi Arc Spin Transport in Individual Topological Semimetal Nanowires.
The spin-polarized transport in a Dirac semimetal Cd_{3}As_{2} nanowire employing the ferromagnetic electrodes for spin detection is reported, indicating the topological protection nature of the spin transport. Expand
Strong Intrinsic Spin Hall Effect in the TaAs Family of Weyl Semimetals.
This work predicts that a newly discovered family of topological materials, the Weyl semimetals, exhibits a large intrinsicspin Hall effect that can be utilized to generate and detect spin currents, and proposes a new guideline for searching for the spin Hall effect in various topologicalmaterials. Enhancement of spin-charge current interconversion by oxidation of rhenium
Abstract We have demonstrated enhancement of the spin-charge current interconversion by oxidation of rhenium (Re). Although amorphous rhenium oxide (ReOX) is electrically conductive, the spin-orbitExpand
Current-driven spin torque induced by the Rashba effect in a ferromagnetic metal layer.
It is demonstrated that strong magnetic fields can be induced in ferromagnetic metal films lacking structure inversion symmetry through the Rashba effect and this process makes it a realistic candidate for room-temperature spintronic applications. Expand
Origin of fieldlike spin-orbit torques in heavy metal/ferromagnet/oxide thin film heterostructures

Two-Carrier Transport Induced Hall Anomaly and Large Tunable Magnetoresistance in Dirac Semimetal Cd3As2 Nanoplates.
The temperature and gate voltage-dependent magnetotransport properties of Cd3As2 nanoplates with Fermi level near the Dirac point are reported and the Hall anomaly demonstrates the two-carrier transport accompanied by a transition from n-type to p-type conduction with decreasing temperature. Expand
