Understanding gravity in the framework of quantum mechanics is one of the great challenges in modern physics. However, the lack of empirical evidence has lead to a debate on whether gravity is a quantum entity. Despite varied proposed probes for quantum gravity, it is fair to say that there are no feasible ideas yet to test its quantum coherent behavior directly in a laboratory experiment. Here, we introduce an idea for such a test based on the principle that two objects cannot be entangled…

When can gravity path-entangle two spatially superposed masses?

An experimental test of quantum effects in gravity has recently been proposed, where the ability of the gravitational field to entangle two masses is used as a witness of its quantum nature. The key

Gravitationally Induced Entanglement between Two Massive Particles is Sufficient Evidence of Quantum Effects in Gravity.

TLDR
This work proves that any system mediating entanglement between two quantum systems must be quantum, and proposes an experiment to detect the entanglements generated between two masses via gravitational interaction, which is closer to realization than detecting gravitons or detecting quantum gravitational vacuum fluctuations.

Constraints on probing quantum coherence to infer gravitational entanglement

Finding a feasible scheme for testing the quantum mechanical nature of the gravitational interaction has been attracting an increasing level of attention. Gravity mediated entanglement generation so

Observable quantum entanglement due to gravity

No experiment to date has provided evidence for quantum features of the gravitational interaction. Recently proposed tests suggest looking for the generation of quantum entanglement between massive

A simulational model for witnessing quantum effects of gravity using IBM quantum computer

TLDR
A simulational model is proposed by providing a new quantum circuit for verifying the schemes to test the quantumness of gravity in two small test masses by entangling two spatially separated objects using gravitational interactions and providing a method to witness the entanglement using spin correlation measurements.

Photonic Implementation of Quantum Gravity Simulator

Detecting gravity mediated entanglement can provide evidence that the gravitational field obeys quantum mechanics. We report the result of a simulation of the phenomenon using a photonic platform. The

Mechanism for the quantum natured gravitons to entangle masses

This paper points out the importance of the quantum nature of the gravitational interaction with matter in a linearized theory of quantum gravity induced entanglement of masses (QGEM). We will show

Locality and entanglement in table-top testing of the quantum nature of linearized gravity

This paper points out the importance of the assumption of locality of physical interactions, and the concomitant necessity of propagation of an entity (in this case, off-shell quanta - virtual

Quantum superposition of two gravitational cat states

We extend our earlier work [] on probing a gravitational cat state (gravcat) to the quantum superposition of two gravcats in an exemplary model and in Bose–Einstein condensates (BEC). In addition to

Two mechanisms for quantum natured gravitons to entangle masses

This paper points out the importance of the quantum nature of the gravitational interaction with matter in a linearized theory of quantum-gravity-induced-entanglement of masses (QGEM). We will show
