Two cases of diffuse cavernous hemangioma of the rectum and rectosigmoid colon are reported. Sphincter-saving procedures were applied as the surgical treatment for these two patients. The diseased rectum and distal sigmoid colon were resected 3 cm above the pectinate line. The mucosa of the rectal stump was extirpated.
