The Synchronized Position Hold, Engage, Reorient Experimental Satellites (SPHERES) laboratory, which works towards the development and testing of algorithms which control autonomous microsatellites, and the Space Systems Engineering class, an Astronautical-optional class needed to complete the undergraduate Aero/Astro baccalaureate degree at MIT, have been working together in the Space System Laboratory to develop an attitude control mechanism by using reaction wheels.
