In the teleost fish Chalcalburnus chalcoides (Cyprinidae) the influence of metabolic inhibitors, substrates, coenzymes, and oxygen concentrations on spermatozoal parameters during motility and during immotile incubation was studied, the respiration rate was characterized, representative metabolite levels were measured, and the results were compared with Oncorhynchus mykiss (Salmonidae).
