We present experimental results on the inelastic and elastic interspecies interactions between ytterbium (Yb) in the metastable ${}^{3}P{}_{2}$ state loaded into a deep optical lattice and spin polarized lithium (Li) in its ground state. Focusing on the ${m}_{J}=0$ magnetic sublevel of $\mathrm{Yb}({}^{3}P{}_{2}$), bias magnetic fields between 20 and $800\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\mathrm{G}$ are investigated and significantly enhanced inelastic collision rates with high magnetic fields are…

Experimental realization of ultracold Yb- Li7 mixtures in mixed dimensions
A doubly-quantum-degenerate Bose-Bose mixture of ${}^{174}$Yb-${}^{7}$Li and a Fermi-Bose mixture of ${}^{173}$Yb-${}^{7}$Li are experimentally realized in mixed spatial dimensions. The formation and
Accurate calculations of weakly bound state energy and scattering length near magnetically tuned Feshbach resonance using the separable potential method.
TLDR
The separable potential method (SPM), by simplifying the calculation of the two-body MTFR, is expected to simplify numerical computations for three-atom collisions in a magnetic field and the Feshbach-optimized photoassociation process.

In recent years, the creation of ultracold heteronuclear molecules in the rovibrational ground state has witnessed spectacular progress, with ground state molecules of KRb [52], RbCs [50, 66], NaK
Ultracold collisions in the Yb-Li mixture system
We report our experimental results on the collisional physics between non-S-state atoms (ytterbium (Yb), effectively a two-electron system, in the metastable ${}^3\mathrm{P}_2$ state) and S-state
