A crotoxin-specific, monoclonal, high-affinity, single-chain antibody variable region (scFv) was generated by combinatorial methods using Pharmacia's Recombinant Phage Antibody System. A high-affinity clone, designated A10G, was selected, and its DNA sequence was determined.
