Special FOCS issue Sixteenth Annual Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science

Abstract

The papers in this issue are based on working papers presented at the Sixteenth Annual Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science, which took place on October 13-15, 1975, in Berkeley, California. These papers were submitted at the invitation of the special issue editors; the papers have undergone standard refereeing procedures for acceptance in Mathematical Systems Theory. The preparation of a special issue for a journal requires substantial cooperation on the part of all involved. It is a pleasure to thank both the referees and the authors for their contributions to the success of this issue,
