Abstract Spatial projection in the cerebral visual system of the cat was analyzed by recording the distribution of responses in the parasagittal cortical plane, that were evoked by electrical stimulation of varying anterior-posterior sites within the lateral geniculate body (LGB). A high degree of spatial correspondence was found between site of cathodal stimulating current in layer A (occasionally A1) of LGB, and that cortical (“peak”) locus yielding the shortest latency, largest amplitude… Expand
