Non-relativistic quantum mechanics is formulated here in a different way. It is, however, mathematically equivalent to the familiar formulation. In quantum mechanics the probability of an event which can happen in several different ways is the absolute square of a sum of complex contributions, one from each alternative way. The probability that a particle will be found to have a path x(t) lying somewhere within a region of space time is the square of a sum of contributions, one from each path…

An attempt is made to interpret quantum mechanics as a statistical theory, or more exactly as a form of non-deterministic statistical dynamics. The paper falls into three parts. In the first, the

The Spacetime Approach to Quantum Mechanics

On the Formulation of Quantum Mechanics associated with Classical Pictures

By re-expressing the generalized SchrOdinger equation in its coordinate represenration in terms of amplitude and phase of the state vector, a quantum-mechanical change of a system can be made to

Foundations of a spacetime path formalism for relativistic quantum mechanics

Quantum field theory is the traditional solution to the problems inherent in melding quantum mechanics with special relativity. However, it has also long been known that an alternative

Elements of Quantum Mechanics

Bohmian mechanics constitutes a different way to understand quantum mechanics, where the role of an external observer is not present, and quantum phenomena and processes are explained in a causal

Wave-like variables of a classical particle and their connections to quantum mechanics

In many texts, the transition from classical mechanics to quantum mechanics is achieved by substituting the action for the phase angle. The paper presents a different approach to show some

PATH INTEGRAL QUANTUM MECHANICS IN CURVED SPACE-TIME: A NEW PERSPECTIVE

A new approach to path integral quantum mechanics in curved space-time for a scalar particle is presented in terms of local curvature involving Fermi or Riemann normal co-ordinates. This approach

Wave-like variables of a classical particle and their connections to quantum mechanics

In many texts, the transition from classical mechanics to quantum mechanics is achieved by substituting the action for the phase angle. The paper presents a different approach to show some

A signed particle formulation of non-relativistic quantum mechanics

On the Interpretation of the Foundations of Quantum Mechanics

This study discusses the quantum behavior of a particle, which is controlled by fluctuations in the physical space-time (ST) variables, rather than provides a novel interpretation of quantum theory.
