An increasing number of hybrid mobile systems comprising a satellite and a terrestrial component are becoming standardized and realized. The next generation of these systems will employ higher dimensions adopting multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) techniques.
