Abstract : The Helmholtz integral equation may be formed by combining the scalar wave equation with Euler's equation for motion within a fluid. The solution of this integral equation yields the radiated pressure from a submerged, vibrating body and may be used to characterize the scattering of incident sound waves from bodies.
