We discuss phylogenetic relationships and taxonomic diversity of the rhacophorid frogs of the genus Theloderma in sight of the novel phylogenetic data obtained from the Bayesian analysis of the up to 1987 bp length fragment of mtDNA (12S rRNA, tRNA val , and 16S rRNA) from the 90 specimens of 21 nominal species of Theloderma and 3 species of Nyctixalus . Our data suggest monophyly of the tribe Nyctixalini, including Th. moloch , and indicate deep divergence between the three major clades: Th…
A striking new genus and species of cave-dwelling frog (Amphibia: Anura: Microhylidae: Asterophryinae) from Thailand
We report on a discovery of Siamophryne troglodytes Gen. et sp. nov., a new troglophilous genus and species of microhylid frog from a limestone cave in the tropical forests of western Thailand. To
DNA barcoding revises a misidentification on mossy frog: new record and distribution extension of Theloderma corticale Boulenger, 1903 (Amphibia: Anura: Rhacophoridae)
TLDR
For the first time, DNA barcoding is used to prove that the species obtained from Guangxi is a new distribution of Th.
Molecular, morphological and acoustic assessment of the genus Ophryophryne (Anura, Megophryidae) from Langbian Plateau, southern Vietnam, with description of a new species
TLDR
The most comprehensive mitochondrial DNA phylogeny for the genus Ophryophryne to date is presented, and the taxonomy and biogeography of this group is discussed, and a new species from highlands of the northern and eastern Langbian Plateau is described.
To split or not to split? Multilocus phylogeny and molecular species delimitation of southeast Asian toads (family: Bufonidae)
TLDR
This study showed that the evolutionary history of Southeast Asian toads is difficult to resolve and numerous relationships remain ambiguous, and the genealogical divergence index (gdi) can be a robust tool to complement other species delimitation methods.
A NEW CRYPTIC SPECIES OF THE GENUS Microhyla (AMPHIBIA: MICROHYLIDAE) FROM LANGBIAN PLATEAU, VIETNAM
An integrative taxonomic analysis combining molecular and morphological lines of evidence revealed a new cryptic species of the Microhyla achatina species group from the Langbian Plateau of southern
Systematics of Eutropis rugifera (Stoliczka, 1870) (Squamata: Scincidae) including the redescription of the holotype.
TLDR
A morphological examination of the types of this species and mtDNA analysis of the samples from different biogeographic regions revealed that Eutropis rugifera from Nicobar Island, Bali Island, and Bawean Island are composed of a monophyletic species, however, the taxonomic status of the above population requires further clarification, and the population in BAWean Island may represent a cryptic species.
The amphibians and reptiles of Mindanao Island, southern Philippines, II: the herpetofauna of northeast Mindanao and adjacent islands
TLDR
It is suggested that the greater Mindanao faunal region possesses distinct subcenters of amphibian and reptile species diversity, and that until this area is revisited and its fauna is studied, the understanding of the diversity and conservation status of southern Philippine herpetological fauna will remain incomplete.
Morphological and molecular characterization of Theloderma moloch (Anura: Rhacophoridae) from Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot of northeast India
TLDR
The present record significantly extends the known range of the species and is a first record for the state of Mizoram and Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot.

TAXONOMIC NOTES ON RHACOPHORID FROGS (RHACOPHORINAE: RHACOPHORIDAE: ANURA) OF SOUTHERN PART OF ANNAMITE MOUNTAINS (TRUONG SON, VIETNAM), WITH DESCRIPTION OF THREE NEW SPECIES
TLDR
Two new species of rhacophorid frogs of the genus Theloderma are described from high-elevation montane forest in Chu Yang Sin Mt. (Dak Lak Province) and lowland monsoon tropical forest in Annamite foothills in Binh Phuok, Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces of Vietnam and Ecology and natural history of newly described taxa are discussed.
Taxonomy and Distribution of Narrow-Mouth Frogs of the Genus Microhyla Tschudi, 1838 (Anura: Microhylidae) from Vietnam with Descriptions of Five New Species
TLDR
The probably smallest tetrapods currently known from mainland Southeast Asia are described, which are the second record of a phytotelm breeder within the genus Microhyla .
