This paper is devoted to identification of models and their parameters applied to ecological and biological problems. More precisely we discuss interpolation and curve fitting in the presence of uncertainties in the input data given in the form of intervals. Our methods involve model functions linear or nonlinear in their parameters. The linear models are formulated in terms of interval arithmetic allowing the computation of verified bounds for the interpolating/approximating functions. Case… CONTINUE READING
