Flight activity in the large milkweed bug, Oncopeltus fasciatus (Dallas) (Heteroptera: Lygaeidae), measured as a function of mean flight duration, is strongly influenced by age (Dingle, 1965). At 8-10 days after the final moult there occurs in both sexes a distinct peak of flight activity; in males, only, a second peak is present at 30-35 days.
