PURPOSE OF REVIEW A review of recent publications is combined with our clinical experience to provide salient tips for optimizing the care of children with congenital cholesteatoma. RECENT FINDINGS Increasing utilization of surgical adjuncts such as endoscopy and KTP laser provides the opportunity to improve postoperative outcomes by reducing residual cholesteatoma rates and improving hearing outcomes.
