To investigate the role of somatostatin (SRIF) in regulating sexually dimorphic GH secretion, we used a reverse hemolytic plaque assay and acutely dispersed somatotropes from age-matched normal male, normal female, and androgen receptor-deficient, testicular feminized (Tfm) rats.
