Immature and mature zygotic embryos of Paspalum scrobiculatum L. cv. PSC 1 cultured on MS or N6 nutrient medium supplemented with different concentrations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), formed embryogenic callus. Induction of embryogenic callus and subsequent somatic embryogenesis was possible at a lower concentration of 2,4-D on N6 than MS medium.
