Introduction Many neuronal membranes of arthropods are unable to produce a regenerative action potential under normal conditions. Examples are the somata of the Motor Giant (MoG) and the Fast Flexor Inhibitor (FI) of the crayfish Procambarus clarkil abdominal ganglia.
