The purpose of this thesis is to examine different diaspora dimensions and transnational activities of Somalis living in Finland. Particularly the aim is to examine the transnational activities that aim at the assistance of Somalia. Therefore the research takes part in the debate of the migrants’ role in the development of the countries of origin.
