BACKGROUND We investigated the measurement of soluble ST2 (sST2) in stable heart failure (HF) with a normal ejection fraction (HFNEF) in hypertensive patients. METHODS AND RESULTS Echocardiography and serum N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and sST2 concentrations were evaluated in 107 hypertensive patients (65 ± 12 years, 57 male) with ejection fraction (EF) >50%.
