A 16-year-old female with no significant past medical history developed acute onset of progressive hoarseness of voice with sensation of foreign body in her throat. Her primary care physician had prescribed her a course of antibiotics for laryngitis. Her symptoms persisted and a vocal cord lesion was suspected. She was evaluated by an otolaryngologist and indirect laryngoscopy revealed a large granulation polyp overlying the right vocal cord.
