A method for the simultaneous analysis of 12 mutagenic and/or carcinogenic compounds is described; these substances belong to three different chemical groups: polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), azaarenes, i.e., nitrogen-containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PANHs), and heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAAs).
