This paper describes a set of software tools created for constructing and verifying a modular FSM for use as logic control. Previously we developed a method for representing the logic of a machining system by several modules. This method allows each module to be designed and verified independently of the other modules. Once the modules are verified to be correct, the system can be verified to be deadlock free and absent of some undesired behaviors, without having to construct a single large FSM… CONTINUE READING
