This study leverages state-level data from Google Search Trends and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention daily case data to investigate the temporal relationship between increases in relative search volume for COVID-19 symptoms and corresponding increases in case data, and indicated evidence that there are statistically significant differences in lag time by state.
