INTRODUCTION Smoking is an important risk factor not only for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, but also for the progression of chronic kidney disease of different etiologies. Nodular glomerulosclerosis is a renal pathology pattern, which was described in different kidney conditions, especially diabetic nephropathy.
