Abstract In smart grid, smart meter (SM) samples users’ energy consumption at high frequency. By analyzing the fine-grained smart metering data, users’ behavior patterns can be recognized thus threatening consumers’ privacy. In this paper, the protection of SM privacy is studied in the presence of solar energy generation system and a rechargeable battery (RB).
