The design and analysis of employing tubular linear induction motor (TLIM) as a capsule pump for a large pneumatic capsule pipeline (PCP) system have shown promising results for practical implementation. The PCP fluid mechanics equations are used to determine the steady state thrust and rated capsule speed inside the TLIM. These parameters are then used as specifications to design the TLIM stator.
