This chapter includes all of the peoples from those Northern European countries in which Slavic populations dominated, but it emphasizes three Slavic groups: Czechs, Poles, and Russians. The distributions of these ancestry populations are mapped and discussed, with the greatest proportional representation shown in the Midwestern and Plains states, while the greatest aggregate population is found within several major cities.
