Of 108 women treated for vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia between 1977 and 1984 at the Irvine Medical Center, University of California, and the Memorial Medical Center of Long Beach, Women's Hospital, 48 with multifocal and/or widespread lesions underwent skinning vulvectomy and split thickness skin graft reconstruction.
