This research examines the structure and internal organization of public relations (PR) consultancies and agencies operating in Spain. Results show that size, type and specialization grade influence agency’s charts and hierarchy. Although in the past specialization by PR techniques and client sectors were the main criteria followed by managers in order to organize internal departments inside agencies; the findings suggest that the economic crisis and the new communication paradigm are causing…
