The electron transport in single-wall carbon nanotubes is one-dimensional and ballistic. Typically carbon nanotubes form tunneling contacts to electrodes and behave as quantum dots at low temperatures. We report on experiments on carbon nanotubes contacted with ferromagnetic metal.
