Amygdalar neuronal responses to sodium saccharin used as the conditioned stimulus (CS) and to other taste stimuli including sucrose, NaCl, HCl and quinine hydrochloride were recorded before and after the acquisition of conditioned taste aversion (CTA) in freely behaving rats.
