To assure high Single-Pole Auto-Reclosure success probability, it is necessary adequate modeling of significant aspects. In what concerns the arc, "physical" and "black-box" models present several drawbacks. The so-called "gray-box" model seems to be the most adequate. Some parameters and effects are directly considered, and others are synthesized by transfer functions.
