Sorption of two divalent metal ions (zinc Zn(II) and lead Pb(II)) from aqueous solution onto the ammonium activated clay was studied in single and binary component systems. The effects of initial pH, contact time, adsorbent dose and initial metal concentration on the adsorption process were investigated. Experimental data were analyzed using Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption models.
