We study the single jet inclusive cross section up to next-to-next-to leading order in perturbative QCD, implemented in the parton-level event generator NNLOJET. Our results are fully differential in the jet transverse momentum and rapidity, and we apply fiducial cuts for comparison with the available ATLAS 7 TeV 4.5 fb−1 data for jet radius R = 0.4. For the theoretical calculation, we employ the antenna subtraction method to reliably cancel all infrared divergences present at…

Differential single jet inclusive production at Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order in QCD
In this talk we present the recent calculation in all partonic channels of the fully differential single jet inclusive cross section at Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order in QCD. We discuss the size and
Infrared sensitivity of single jet inclusive production at hadron colliders
A bstractJet production at hadron colliders is a benchmark process to probe the dynamics of the strong interaction and the structure of the colliding hadrons. One of the most basic jet production
Determination of the Parton Distribution Functions and Strong Coupling by Using Measurement of Jet Cross Sections at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV with the CMS detector with a combined QCD Analysis
In this thesis, a measurement of inclusive jet production is presented as a function of the transverse momentum pT and the absolute rapidity |y| of jets. The data was recorded in the CMS experiment
The impact of LHC jet data on the MMHT PDF fit at NNLO
TLDR
The impact of the high precision ATLAS and CMS 7 TeV measurements of inclusive jet production on the MMHT global PDF analysis at next- to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) is investigated and a simplified solution is proposed that retains the dominant physical information of the data.
Jet cross sections at the LHC and the quest for higher precision
We perform a phenomenological study of Z plus jet, Higgs plus jet and di-jet production at the Large Hadron Collider. We investigate in particular the dependence of the leading jet cross section on
Threshold and Jet Radius Joint Resummation for Single-Inclusive Jet Production.
TLDR
The first numerical results for the LHC are presented and an improved description of the available data is observed and the framework allows for a systematic extension beyond the currently achieved precision.
Phenomenology of NNLO jet production at the LHC and its impact on parton distributions
We present a systematic investigation of jet production at hadron colliders from a phenomenological point of view, with the dual aim of providing a validation of theoretical calculations and guidance
Measurement of inclusive jet and dijet cross-sections in proton-proton collisions at s=13$$ \sqrt{s}=13 $$ TeV with the ATLAS detector
A bstractInclusive jet and dijet cross-sections are measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The measurement uses a dataset with an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb−1
Leading jets and energy loss
Abstract The formation and evolution of leading jets can be described by jet functions which satisfy non-linear DGLAP-type evolution equations. Different than for inclusive jets, the leading jet
Measurement of inclusive jet and dijet cross-sections in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector
: Inclusive jet and dijet cross-sections are measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The measurement uses a dataset with an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb (cid:0)
