Both vacuum-squeezed and bright amplitude-squeezed states of light are experimentally generated from a frequency doubler with a semimonolithic Fabry-Perot configuration consisting of a type II nonlinear crystal and a concave mirror. Vacuum squeezing of 3.2 +/- 0.1 dB and amplitude squeezing of 1.3 +/- 0.2 dB are obtained simultaneously at a pump power of 8 mW. The two quadrature-squeezed optical fields that are generated are of identical frequency at 1080-nm wavelength and orthogonal…

Squeezing properties of a two-transverse-mode degenerate optical parametric oscillator with an injected signal
We study the classical and quantum properties of a degenerate optical parametric oscillator (DOPO) tuned to the first family of transverse modes at the down-converted frequency, under the injection
A theoretical study on achieving the generalized binomial states with second harmonic generation processes
In this paper, the generalized binomial states (GBSs) are theoretical presented with second-harmonic generation (SHG) processes by utilizing the Schwinger–Bose operation realization. The GBSs are

Generation of strongly squeezed continuous-wave light at 1064 nm.
A compact and effcient source of amplitude-squeezed light is described. It employs a semi-monolithic degenerate MgO:LiNbO(3) optical parametric amplifier pumped by a frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser at
Squeezing and entanglement in doubly resonant, type II, second-harmonic generation
We investigate, theoretically, the generation of bright and vacuum-squeezed light as well as entanglement in intracavity, type II, phase-matched second-harmonic generation. The cavity in which the
Observation of squeezed states generated by four-wave mixing in an optical cavity.
TLDR
Squeezed states of the electromagnetic field have been generated by nondegenerate four-wave mixing due to Na atoms in an optical cavity by measuring the total noise level in the deamplified quadrature below the vacuum noise level.
Nonclassical excitation for atoms in a squeezed vacuum.
TLDR
The experimental observation of the rate which approaches this linear nonclassical behavior of a three level atom driven with squeezed vacuum via a two-photon excitation process is presented.
Sub-shot-noise measurement with fiber-squeezed optical pulses.
TLDR
The dual-pulse-excited fiber ring is used to generate squeezed vacuum that, when injected into a measuring Mach–Zehnder interferometer, improves its sensitivity by 3 dB beyond the shot-noise limit.
Generation of squeezed states by parametric down conversion.
TLDR
A quantitative comparison with theory suggests that the observed squeezing results from a field that in the absence of linear attenuation would be squeezed by greater then tenfold.
Bright squeezed light by second-harmonic generation in a monolithic resonator
We report on a beam of squeezed light with considerable power (3.2 mW). 52% noise reduction in the fundamental mode is observed by second-harmonic generation in a monolithic resonator with active
Intracavity Frequency-Doubled and Frequency-Stabilized CW Ring Nd:YAP Laser.
TLDR
A frequency-doubled and frequency-stabilized ring Nd:YAP laser with a six-mirror cavity that satisfies both the thermal insensitivity and optimal frequency- doubling conditions is demonstrated.
