An immunizing hapten (4-(carboxymethoxy)phenyl)bis(4-(diethylamino)phenyl)methylium for brilliant green (BG), a triphenylmethane dye with a potential illegal use in fish feeding, was synthesized and used to produce polyclonal antibody (PcAb) against BG.
